The music player is a nice extra feature, but you don’t have to play your local files through 3D Boom to get its effects. I used a decent set of Sennheiser earbuds, an expensive set of Bluetooth cans, quality Grado SR-80’s, and even a cheap set of earbuds that I had accumulated somewhere along the way. I tested it out with several different headphones and earbuds. And it doesn’t matter the type of headphones you’re using. Compared to the standard sound coming from your computer’s integrated audio port, you get a truly huge, immersive surround sound experience.
